This harness built for the borg warner 44-44
 transfercase allows user to lock their transfercase whenever needed. This switch is only applicable for 2011-2020 (classic) dodge ram 1500s with the auto transfercase feature. Please confirm you have the 44-44
 transfercase before purchasing.

How it works: Dodge ram computer systems require rear wheel spin imput to actuate the transfercase. This means when your truck is in 4x4 it is not driving the front wheels, the front wheels are only given power when the rear wheels are spinning.  Once your rear wheels stop spinning your truck disconnects the power to the front wheels and the cycle repeats itself until you get that pesky "4x4 overheat" or you burn the clutches out of your transfercase. 
This switch locks the transfercase so you have full time 4x4 when turned on. Once the switch is turned off your vehicle will function as factory intended, this leaves no footprint can be removed at any time and can be used on other trucks that have the 44-44 transfercase as well.
